Model R simplex radial blade blowers (2") are compact, sturdy, and relatively light in weight, designed for development of high static pressures. Simplex blowers have a single impeller wheel and are available for either clockwise or counterclockwise rotation. As with all radial blade blowers, air enters axially and exits tangentially, making a 90 degree turn. Models are available with 50/60 or 400 Hz AC or brushless DC motors.
Radial blade blowers produce a higher pressure-to-volume ratio at higher speeds than is obtainable from the centrifugal blower. it particularly suitable for cooling tightly packaged airborne electronic equipment and ventilating NBC protection system filters and particle separators.
